CADALYST Labs updates benchmark
C2001 benchmark now works with
AutoCAD 2004
To run the C2001
benchmark with AutoCAD 2004, download this recompiled version of
the GSTest.arx file. You
can also find it on your AutoCAD 2004 installatoin directory along
with acad.exe. Thanks to Autodesk for providing this updated version.
Also download
the updated Readme for
specific recommations for running the benchmark in AuotCAD 2004.
C2001
benchmark
The C2001 test works with AutoCAD 2000–2002 only. Download
the updates above to run the C2001 test in AuotCAD 2004. Also note
that we test the benchmark only on AutoCAD, not AuotCAD-based products.
It requires at least 384MB of system RAM. Start by downloading
Readme_C2001.txt
to gain a better understanding of how to load and operate the benchmark.

Next, download the basic test files for C2001 v3.0:
C2001_V3.ZIP
C2001_V3.EXE
The EXE file will download as C2001_V3.EX_ . You'll need to rename
it to C2001_V3.EXE. This way, you don't need to enter a user id
and password to download the files.
If you don't have the older C99 benchmark files you'll need to
download a full set of test drawings. If you download the EXE versions,
you'll need to change the extension to EXE before they run:

C99
benchmark
The previous
version of the benchmark, C99 v2.1, runs on AutoCAD Releases 13,
14, and 2000. It requires at least 128MB of system RAM.
C99 consists of two parts.
C99_3D
works with AutoCAD 2000 only. It requires at least 256MB
of system RAM. Start
by downloading the
readme.txt (~8KB) to gain a better understanding of how to load
and operate the benchmark.

Files

Next,
download the 2D and 3D basic test files for C99 v2_1. Note that
you'll need to change the extension on the EXE version from
EX_ in order to run the benchmark::

- You must
also download the AutoCAD drawings used by the benchmark test.
Except for C99_4.DWG and C99_6.DWG, the C99 test uses the same
drawings as the old C96 test. Drawing names do change to C99_*.DWG.
If you have the C96 benchmark, just rename the older drawing files
with the C99 prefix. Modified versions of C99_4.DWG and C99_6.DWG
for the C99 benchmark are available as separate downloads:

If you don't
have the earlier version, you'll need to download a full set of

C99_2D
drawings
The 2D test works only with Releases 13, 14, and 2000.
